Niagra & NYC

By Israel on general — 11:42 am

Saturday (7/12) Sarah and I drove through Canada to the U.S. side of Niagra Falls. We spent two nights there and an entire day at the Falls. From the Maid of the Mist to the fireworks over Falls at night it was a great time!

Monday (7/14) we headed to NYC. That was a great time as well. We went up into the Empire State Building, out to the Statue of Liberty on Liberty Island, and ate lots of New York Pizza.

Pictures will be posted soon.

Ah, another date night; this time at Brigantine Del Mar. A nice walk on the beach afterward.

If I’m going to write this, you’re going to read it.

Ok, I’ve got this page fixed up to the point that I think it’s worth looking at, so from now on Jen and Joe and Iz will be getting emails when I post stuff on the site. I can set up accounts for anyone to add postings, and can set up completely separate pages as well, so take a look, a’ight?

Also, since the quota for the site is up to 250 MB, I’ve fixed the galleries to include all the original images, so you can download and print whatever you want. I’ve got almost 200 MB of stuff up there, maybe it’s time to step up to the 500 MB site?

We’re going on a Cruise!

By Dad on anna; general; travel — 7:37 am

It’s booked, we’ll be spending New Year’s 2004 aboard Mariner of the Seas. Anna will be spending a week at Grandma Donna’s, and Jen and I will be relaxing on one of the newest and largest cruise ships on the planet. Starting from Port Canaveral, our itinerary will include snorkeling in Grand Cayman, visiting ruins in Cozumel, and parasailing on Royal Carribbean’s private island.

Guess Who Went Potty

By Dad on anna; general; milestones; sleep — 3:56 pm
That’s right, last night Anna decided to go sit on the potty, and for the first time it was not a false alarm. It seems that Anna passes all her milestones when Jennifer is out of the house–maybe if I send Jen away for a month, Anna will have graduated college when she gets back.

I was able to leverage the big event into getting Anna to lie down to sleep without the usual fight by suggesting that “big girls who go potty don’t need to cry at bedtime.” Totally worked.

Party Party Party

By Dad on anna; general; photos — 10:20 pm

What a busy weekend! On Friday (the 4th), we stopped in for a visit at the neighbors’ barbecue before heading to Lake Poway for another barbecue with the Imlers and their visiting relatives.

Saturday was mostly a chore day.

Sunday, Jen played hockey, Dave and Anna took a nap, and we went to the neighbors’ birthday party.
